The Cedar Rapids Roots

Who Are We

This isn't a faceless Silicon Valley app.
It's built by someone who understands local soil and local people.

Built Here

One Engineer, One Real Problem

People kept saying the same thing — they didn't want food coated in wax and preservatives just to survive a two-week supply chain. They wanted it straight from the source. I heard it enough times, looked into it, agreed, and built the infrastructure to make that option real.

Cedar Rapids, IA — built and maintained locally.

Iowa-First

Better Margins for Farmers

Middlemen take a cut. Distribution centers sit on produce for days. Farmers eat the loss. The math here is simple — cut the chain, let farmers set their own price, and put more money in their pocket per sale. That's the whole model.

Keeping Linn County farms viable.

By Design

No Tracking. Just Logistics.

Your data routes your food — that's it. No ad profiles, no surveillance, no engagement algorithms. FMP is a logistics tool, not a platform trying to own your attention. Privacy isn't a feature we added, it's how we built it from the start.

Privacy-first infrastructure.

The Logistics Engine

How It Works

  1. 01List

    Producers List via SMS

No app. No laptop in the field. Farmers text their current inventory directly to the FMP Engine — '20 lbs tomatoes, 4 dozen eggs' — and it's live immediately.

  2. 02Shop

    Consumers Shop Local

The moment inventory lands, neighbors in Linn County can browse the freshest local products and order directly from their phones. No middleman. No guessing season.

  3. 03Deliver

    Automated Optimized Delivery

Our routing engine bundles orders and calculates the shortest path from farm gate to front door — maximizing freshness and minimizing carbon miles on every run.

No app. No laptop. Just a text message — and your inventory is live.

Roadmap to Launch

What Happens After You Sign Up

The marketplace is being opened in deliberate stages. Joining now puts you close to the first delivery runs instead of leaving you wondering what comes next.

  1. Phase 1Current

    Producer Intake

We are currently onboarding Linn County farmers to the SMS Engine so inventory can move from field notes to live listings without an app.

  2. Phase 2Next

    Neighborhood Beta

Waitlist members get first access to the initial Cedar Rapids delivery run, with limited neighborhoods opening as producer inventory comes online.

  3. Phase 3Launch

    Full Market Launch

Automated logistics go live for the full corridor, bundling orders and routes from local farm gates to local front doors.

Built in the Corridor

A Note from the Engineer

Florida to Iowa

Built locally in Cedar Rapids for the farmers, families, and neighborhoods that make the corridor feel like home.

I kept hearing the same thing from people around me — they wanted an alternative to grocery store produce. Food that hadn't been waxed, sprayed, or coated just to survive a two-week supply chain. Straight from the source, with nothing added in between. I looked into it and agreed completely.

That option was harder to find than it should have been. Then I started talking to local farmers and found the same frustration on their end — great food, but the middlemen were taking the margin and adding steps that had nothing to do with quality.

So I built the direct line. The SMS engine, the routing logic, the whole thing — no investors, no playbook. Just a clean connection between the people growing real food and the people who want it.
